Your hosts at Hope’s Hideaway are Jess and Levi. They are both life-long Alaskans and outdoor enthusiasts who are knowledgeable about the area and can provide a multitude of recommendations during your stay. Jess and Levi are happy to share their expertise on the area.
is the owner of Turnagain Kayak, www.turnagainkayak.com, and has lived all of his life enjoying everything that the Alaskan wilderness has to offer. His favorite activities include kayaking sea and rivers, mountain biking, ski touring, and wilderness camping. Levi is a valuable resource for outdoor enthusiasts.
is a certified personal trainer and fitness professional. Generally, more comfortable outside, than in, her favorite activities include mountain biking, hiking and all forms of skiing. Although traveling throughout Alaska as a forensic scientist was interesting, her favorite job, thus far, involved riding a bike along Alaska’s most rural highways as a bicycling tour guide. In her infinite spare time, as a mom, she enjoys volunteer ski patrolling, teaching outdoor emergency care and avalanche classes for the National Ski Patrol and American Red Cross CPR/First Aid classes.

During the winter, guests enjoy skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and more. Enjoy a day trip to Seward, Homer, Whittier and other more secluded areas knowing that you have a cozy place to return to at night.
Bring a camera, a good book and some bird-watching binoculars, and you won’t need to go far from the cottage to enjoy your stay.
